¡Hola!

Here’s a glass of wine. Or un cafecito, por si así lo prefieres. Make yourself at home. There’s plenty to eat, y mucho por contar.

TASTE like MEMORIES is an occasional newsletter about food as a way of exploring identity, memory, culture, and everyday life. I write mostly stories and essays in Spanglish. Y de vez en cuando, I write poems and vignettes, too. Some stories are from my lived experiences, and some are imagined, and while not all of them start with food, they usually end up there.

Or with a drink. ¡Salud!

This newsletter is, and always will be, evolving as I grow with it. Wherever it goes, I hope these stories bring you comfort, connection, and maybe even a craving or two.

Grateful to have you here.

Con mucho amor,
Alejandra
